The Dropdown question type allows you to ask students to complete the task by choosing the correct option from the dropdown list.

Builder

This interactive question type is auto-graded.

There are two ways to place the element in the needed area:

  • Click the element, and drag it to the necessary place while holding the mouse button and adjusting the size.

  • Сlick the element first, then click the desired spot. The field will appear in that spot. Adjust to the desired size.


  1. Click the area "Choose the correct option."

  2. In the pop-up window, add possible options.

  3. There are up to 20 possible options to write.

  4. To choose the correct option, сlick on the box next to one of the answers. You can select ONLY one correct option.


By clicking the following icon, you'll open a pop-up with the SETTINGS and STYLES sections:

Creating a question

You can create a task using this element. To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Drag the element to the slide.

2. Click on the plus sign and write the question.

3. To finish with the Dropdown question type, enter answer choices in the appropriate areas:

In the Settings section, you can specify the following:

The number of points for answering correctly.

Click the field and select the desired option from a dropdown list. You can either decide on the number of points from 1 to 10, set it by default, or choose not to score the task.

  • Note! If you create a new edform or copy and edit an existing one, you select the option "do not to score" in the worksheet (element) settings, then you will not be able to score that assignment in the Reports.

    If this step was taken by mistake, you can go to the worksheet (element) settings and change the scoring criteria. Then you will be able to grade that element in the new or any already existing report.

In the Styles section, you can make the following adjustments:

  1. Font. Select the desired style and size of the font from the drop-list options.

  2. Adjust the borders: define their color and width.

  3. Regulate background opacity. The indicator to the left or the right decreases or increases the opacity of the letters, respectively.

Manipulations that you can do with the element:

  • Adjust its size.

  • Move the element to a different place. To do this, hover over the field click, hold the six-dots icon, drag it where needed, and then release the button.

  • Duplicate the element by clicking the copy icon next to the Settings icon. A copy will appear below.

  • Remove the element from the worksheet by clicking the trash icon.

  • Click the icon of moving the element, and in a menu, choose the element's position relative to other elements: send back, send backward, bring forward, bring to front.

  • Lock or unlock the element by clicking on the moving element icon.

Student View

This is how your students will see the Dropdown task:

Report

Once the student finishes an assignment, the system automatically checks and grades it.

You can track the student's grades and answers in the Reports section. If the task was graded incorrectly, you can correct it by clicking on the desired field and selecting the number of points for the assignment.

The color will immediately turn green, marking the correct answer.
